It never ceases to amaze me, how quickly each month passes by. We're already here at the end of March, which signals the beginning of Spring, even here in the Copper Country where snow is still on the ground and in the process of melting. We pause this last day of the month, to remember those who have left us recently, including:

Marie Harjala
Raymond Nelson
Jaysen Salo
Ross Seppala
Hugh Tossava
Servicemen and women who have given their all

All of us here at Pasty Central, wish to extend our deepest sympathy to all those who have lost someone in their lives. We invite you to add the names of those near and dear to you here on this page.

Special thanks to Steve Brimm for the 2005 archive sunrise and to Jean Dessellier for the 2017 sunset, giving us a peek into how varied each year can be here UP North as Spring arrives.

Both beautiful pictures and, as always, the review
is spectacular on the last day of the month.

Remembering my Aunt Frieda, who passed away 8 years
ago this month. It's hard to believe that wonderful
woman has been gone that long. I think about her
all the time. She was always so loving with her
nieces and nephews. Hope you and dad are playing
pinocle in heaven, and I sure hope there are fresh
berries to pick up there.

Want to remember my mother who passed away last September at age of 99. She would have turned 100 on March 9.

Mary,

I heard this concept expressed this week. As we get older and older each passing time period, be it a week, month or year, is a smaller and smaller percentage of our total being and memories.

When we are 10 years old the passing year is 10% of our total understanding. At 20 is drops to 5%. As we near retirement a full year of experiences amounts to just 1.5% to 2%. A month is even smaller. As such, it then seems like a very short period of time when our brain tries to put it into context.
