Good morning! I normally wouldn't post a video longer than a minute or two, because I know you're probably as busy as I am these days. But when I saw this visual trip to Copper Harbor, I just relaxed with a cup of tea and enjoyed the ride.

Jon Anderson was one of the first area photographers to contribute to this daily feature, with his classic 1999 winter view of the Lighthouse. Thanks to all of the picture takers who have filled almost 7,000 days of the Pasty Cam!

Have a good week :o)

That's a lot of snow and a tricky drive. If Metro-Detroit received that much snow, we would be in grid-lock mode all winter.

I thoroughly enjoyed the ride, especially once we
got to the part where the trees cover the road.
Glad I stuck around to the end.

Thanks for a fun ride. Glad I wasn't driving!

Great Video!! Thanks for the ride!! I love that ride anytime of year, and I enjoy driving in that snow as well. With all that snow, it's like being in another world!! Very Cool!!

Wonderful ride. We are going to have our "FAMILY
REUNION" in Lake Linden this year. A fun time for
all.

I am from Lake Linden. It's a great place for a
reunion!

I know a great couple from Lake Linden, they live down the street from the High School!! :=))

Thanks for posting! When we're in the Keweenaw, we drive back and
forth between Calumet and Copper Harbor every day, taking all the
different routes, just for the fun of it. It was great to see all these
familiar places.

I finally got a chance to watch the video.
That certainly was refreshing!

… at least from my perspective in Phoenix, AZ with 7 days of daily high temperatures at or above 90°F so far this month (3/13 -3/19), and record highs of 92° on 3/13, 95° on 3/18 and 96° on 3/19)!

All that and it wasn't even Spring yet — until "Verna's¹ Equinox" at 3:28 AM MST (6:28AM EST) today!

With nearly white-out conditions in places, I found that video a bit disorienting at first.

Can anyone identify where the row of ~ 7 to 9 houses and the antenna on the right side of the road (at ~0:50 - 0:54) and the blinky traffic signal (at ~0:20) in that video are located?

¹ Verna's (my mom's name!) Equinox.

I think the blinker is at the intersection of 41 and 203 on the north side of Calumet. I think the antenna is at Larch Street.

I think you nailed it!
I did recognize the Trailside Lodge, just a little further up the
road from Larch, so now it's all coming together for me.
It sure looks differentbin a white-out.
Thanks for the tip, Bob!

P.S. We're now at eight continuous days of daily high
temperatures at or above 90° for the month, and scored
another record high temperature for today as well, 96°!

(I think I'll watch that video a few more times!)

Thanks for posting this. We were in Copper Harbor last September and I haven't been up in the Copper Country during the winter months since I was a kid. It is nice to be able to 'see' a Copper Country winter from the comfort of my chair back here in Wisconsin. I sure miss Michigan.
