Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, the shamrocks have sprouted here UP North. Brenda Leigh went out in search of them a few days back and found several to brighten this Luck of the Irish day!

Did you know that the three-leaf shamrock was used by St. Patrick to explain and teach about the Trinity? That is why the green clover represents St. Patrick's Day as a symbol to mark the day, both in windows and on clothing. And of course green is the color of the day, with folks wearing green clothing and rivers, beer, as well as parade routes being dyed that color, too. Make sure you put on your best St. Paddy's Day colors or you just might get pinched!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

A Happy St. Patty's Day...and you'll be keep'n you hands off me lucky charms :-)

And if you drink too much, remember to take a bus home. Perhaps you’ve never driven a bus before, but believe...it's not that hard.

What was I thinking. Went to my kindergarten classes without any green on. Good thing one of my teachers had a spare green necklace to use. I'm thick with Irish! What with the Slatterys and O'Roarcks of the UP. And the Sheehans and Quinns of Milwaukee. I know how Irish I am. Even been to the fatherland years ago. Next year I'll know to dress better.

WOW...What a blessed St.Patty's Day for us here at
home. So many wonderful blessings from dawn to dusk.
Then to come home and get on this contraption of a
computer and fine one more. WOW... I love U.P.
Goldwingers humor. I also love Mary Drew's surprise
posting of my photos on my favorite heritage day of
all. Thanks and blessings to all.
