Laura Gauthier's kids wanted to build a snowman recently, so she took them over to Teal Lake in Negaunee. Her daughter thought that would be a good place for building, as she wanted to make it a building contest.

The kids had a blast making this HUGE snowman and of course had a little help from Mom and her friend, Mary, since "Bob" the snowman was so tall, they couldn't quite reach to get his head on top of his shoulders. What a great family fun time, one they'll remember every time they drive by Teal Lake for years to come. I bet when they're adults and have kids of their own, they'll be telling them the story of building Bob the snowman one evening on Teal Lake. And in the meantime, Bob stands there on the edge of the Lake, greeting all who pass by, with a smile! Good job kids!

That is one heck of a snowman! I approve the snowman's name!

Wow!!! That is a big snowman. Way to go, you can be proud of that one.

big snowman. when we were kids, my mom told us to go to the empty field and roll a huge snowball and get in front of the house and she would carve us something out of it. the field was next to our house, but, there was one house we had to get it past. of course this huge, rolled snowball got stuck in front of the walkway to the house next door. was that fun having to break up that snowball.;O)

SHIRLEY; it was pretty funny...the neighbor was real nice about it because they knew we would clear it out. just glad we did not have to take it very far to get rid of it, after we had to break it up. LOL...LOL

Still unable to access last weeks Pasty photos/pages! :-( I was trying to get caught up. Hope that will be possible, but I will remain patient cause life has a way of slowing you down when you least expect it. and am thankful to be able to stop and smell the coffee...

SHIRLEY: no, my mom did not help us. had 3 brothers so we did fine with it. just glad the field was right there to get rid of it. :0) I still kinda chuckle when I think about it though. to get it that close to the house and it gets stuck in front of the neighbors walkway.
