Great Sand Bay
Saturday, February 13

A shot requested by several visitors, Great Sand Bay today could be called Great Snow Bay, as the cold has returned to the Keweenaw.

(in case you haven't noticed, the Pasty Cam loves sunsets)

 Friday, February 12

If it warms up outside, Yoopers have this tradition of huddling in a freezing building to watch these college guys brawl on the ice.

(definitely a cool game)

Strawberry Capitol of the North Country
Thursday, February 11

Snow banks are starting to shrink.  The Pasty Cam cruises through Chassell and snaps this view just before mud splashes the car window.

(supposed to be cold here again by the weekend)

 Wednesday, February 10

The 1999 Winter Carnival is now just a memory.  It concluded with the annual Torch-Light Parade and fireworks.

(we sure know how to have fun in the U.P., eh?)

Fireworks at Mt. Ripley
Eagle Harbor
Tuesday, February 9

Everything's kind of crusty this morning, with 40's expected through much of the U.P.  Eagle Harbor is always beautiful regardless the weather.

(Find out more by visiting George)

 Monday, February 8

We were here on the last day of Fall... but now with Big Picture technology we revisit US 41 and find the limbs sagging a little lower.  Warmer temps, a little sunshine today.

(keep an eye out for deer crossing)

US 41 between Mohawk and the Snow Thermometer
Martin Luther King and the Lincoln Memorial
Sunday, February 7

On a quiet Sunday morning on campus, a lone preacher speaks to an audience of one.  The cold weather has well preserved the fruit of this past week's labor.

(This sculpture won first prize among student organizations at MTU)
